Global
M&A Research Center is a non-profit professional
research institute, which was founded jointly by the
Institute of World Economics and Politics Chinese
Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), China Europe International
Business School (CEIBS) and China M&A network
in November 2001 in order to keep up with the trend
of mergers and acquisitions throughout the world.
The current academic committee is composed of Chinese
and overseas M&A experts and scholars. The Center
studies global M&A trends, helps Chinese enterprises
face the challenges of WTO and sets up globalization
strategies. It provides the Chinese government and
enterprises with the most authoritative research reports
and strategic guidance of Global M&A. The center
also has influence on the academic field by representing
the original creative opinions of China's top experts.
In January 2005, after a successful four-year performance,
the Global M&A Research Center merged with CMAA,
solidifying CMAA’s leading position in strategic M&A
development and academic research.
